Remove antenna base

Does anybody have instructions on how to remove 2 and 3? I need to replace my antenna, but it is stuck onto the base and cannot be unscrewed, hence I need to remove the base.

You have to go in through the trunk.

I have tried this but the problem is that the base is stuck and cannot be removed, even though the amp has been unscrewed…

Fixed it, found the exact way to align the base to match the hole to enable it to be loosened.

Thanks for the Pelican DIY. Now I know I will NOT be replacing my antenna with a stubby. LOL.

1 min, provided the antenna CAN be unscrewed from the base. Which it cannot in 9/10 cases due to corrosion in the threads.

I will have to see how stuck it may be. Did you notice any drop off in reception when you replaced with stubby?

I hadn't noticed any reception loss with my BMW OE stubby. Your mileage may vary with the aftermarket stubby.

There is a BMW OE stubby? Did not know! Do you have a part number or a way to identify?
