Which trim would be better ?

I currently have this wood trim.. swapping to another trim, would it be better leaving it as it or wrap it ?

Is this call the light wood grain ?

Theres currently a little hair line split by the bottom of the radio button 3 - 4, but hard to tell..

I'd wrap it in CF fabric, or get it painted piano black

There are people that like wood.
Before doing anything, why not post a swap request in the classifieds.

Walnut I think? Not sure, but it's not common, I'm sure you could easily swap with someone.

Too bad you have the light wood (looks like an ash to me); there is a Mahogany tinted wood that I would gladly swap my black carbon leather for -- I was looking for an Interlagos/Light Sepang/Mahogany tinted wood car, but there are so few of them.

That is the combo I have, but the Z4M cars have the "Madeira" wood option (not Mahogany). Would have preferred the Carbon Leather trim instead and am considering wrapping mine in CF cloth.

45ACP corrected my mis-statement, that the dark wood option for the M' is called Madeira -- it is a walnut.

This site:

http://www.bmwz4roadster.net/bmw_z4_dash.htm

Seems to show all the options well, but it is difficult to figure out which options are available on which cars, vis-a-vis M v. Si differences -- but at least you can see them all. The one you show looks like 'dark poplar' to me. OP's looks like the 'light poplar.'

I have to say, SI folks have cooler interior options! I have never seen an Individual car for sale (at least an M Coupe), does anyone know of any? The BMW visualizer just slays me:

http://www.bmw.com/com/en/newvehicle...isualizer.html

Midnight Blue / Estoril / Piano anyone?

I was wondering the same thing - I've got the stock aluminum trim in mine...but there's a couple imperfections that I can't seem to stop staring at.

Anyone have any idea on approximate costs to order the factory trim/what you'd be looking at for instillation? I'd almost rather have it done professionally than risk f'n up my dash doing it myself.
