After 16 years, thinking about selling my Z4MC

I’ve finally decided that it’s time to sell my Z4MC. Bought it new in 2007 and drove it a fair bit, including track days, for the first 6 years. And then it became the occasional car, and the last couple years I barely even drive it. It sits in a shared car storage space with a bunch of other enthusiasts’ cars. Some of you know the car. I’ve been very fastidious with preventative maintenance - rod bearings done twice, RRT VANOS exhaust cam sprocket, new OE crank vibration damper, water pump 20K miles ago, oil changed every year now (used to be 3K miles or 4 track days) etc. It’s still setup for track duty if someone wanted to bring it back there - she loved those outings. KW Clubsports, Remus exhaust, Euro headers, Rogue trans mounts (street) …

I’d rather it got to someone that knows these cars and can appreciate the updates and changes, than a trade-in or sold through consignment. I’m in Seattle and was wondering if anyone local is interested? I do have one person who shares the car storage space interested, so he’s ahead in line.

an old G leaves the fold!

think you may regret this one pal, but i also see the desire as i get it myself, i too have owned my car from new and i do get the "its time to change" twinge quite a few times, but i don't think i can afford to better it in my case such is the level of performance on the table and that engine is just borderline exotic imo.

It's been a long time but the car is still quite new. And I believe you will find a suitable new owner for it.

Yea, that S54 motor is a gem indeed. You’re not wrong that I will be sad when it does go, but it’s a shame to see it sit around all the time. Someone else deserves to enjoy this car, on the street or on the track. It’s a driver.
