Pulled a 400+ hp GTO tonight...
Started from 40mph we just went. This kid was modded from the sound of the car and the way it moved. We were dead even to 70, hit my powerband in 3rd and started to pull him when my girl made me stop at a 100mph. Oh well.. Figured Id share, was fun...

70-100 must have only taken you like 2 seconds. Your GF should have let you floor it 'til the end of 3rd gear.

LMAO , I shifted the hell out of it. Matter of fact so fast the rear wheels needed some time to recover ahah. His GTO was auto, i noticed it when I heard it hit 3rd gear. He hit 3rd like around 55 or so cause i shifted at 7800 over 60mph. But That auto was going. That second his car went into 3rd I knew i needed to hit third FAST. It was my shift that saved me actually

Just remember, those are "400" GM horsepower... And therefore "Weak Sauce".
I did drive the new GTO though with the LS2, it's interesting in a straight line, But a Complete pig in just about every way that matters... Especially if my point of reference was a Z4M

Wow . . . You really don't know much about the GTO, do you . . . I have 65K on mine and it has had bolt-ons, cam, supercharger, and nitrous and it hasen't missed a beat. I have ran it on road courses, 10s on the drag strip, and driven to and from Indy getting 23.5 mpg and I make 540 rwhp off the spray. It still is as tight as it was the day I drove it off the dealer lot. One thing I love is that my 60K service was $200. The other doctor in my office paid $3200 for his "level 1 and 2" 60K service and an oil pan gasket. Ouch . . .
