3.0i strut bars on a 3.0si?

I have the alutec strut bars on my 3.0i. Does anyone know if the 3.0si will accept aftermarket struts from the 3.0i?

The bar might cover your engine oil cap, so you may have to remove the bar for oil changes.

I was more concerned with engine clearance... that seems to be the problem if you try the same bars on an //M

The M cars have that high fuel rail - none of the facelift cars do.

You were asking about a 3.0 vs a 3.0si. Same engine...

The facelift 3.0 and 3.0Si share the N52 engine but the pre-facelift 3.0 and the facelift 3.0Si do not. Just to make that clear.

Again, I think the only way to really find out is to try putting on the bar when/if you get a new Z4.

Alternatively you go to the dealership and measure how high the strut towers are to the highest point of the motor and go from there.

The standard Z4 STB fits the M.

Perhaps you should just sell the Alutec and get a Strong Strut.
