235/45/17 Dunlop Direzza Z2 On Style 103
Hey guys,
I'm currently on style 103's (17x8 +47 offset) with stock non-sport suspension and its time to replace the POS runflats that the car came with when I purchased it (225/45/17 Bridgestone RE05A's). I was wondering if it was possible to step up to a 235/45/17 Dunlop Direzza Z2?A check on the section width reveals that the Dunlop is 9.3in vs 8.9in for my current Bridgestone's. Should I just stick with the 225? Do any of you have any other tire suggestions? These are going to be sparsely driven on, and since I live in costal California I don't have to be too concerned about adverse weather. |

I wouldn't go 235, sure it'll fit but 1/3" taller. I can appreciate you want extra rubber up front but the Star Specs run much wider than your Bridgestone runflat so you'll get increased grip just by changing tires. Another consideration would be the Michelin Pilot Super Sports which should be comparable in price, and should last longer with less noise.

Ended up going with 225/45/17. I'll update this thread when they get mounted.
