any real world pics other than this graphic rendition?
IIRC, this design has been floating around for a while now, I recall something like this from when I had my M Roady. It would be great to see it go into production.

This top turns up from time to time, but I have yet to see any real pictures of it.

I like the looks of the original better, but the rear side windows would be really nice. Hate that blind spot when the top is up. I would probebly use the roady more during the winter if I had one

Not a rear brake light - a heated window.
- excellent rear and side visibility - very good thermal and sound insulation - very reliable locking and sealing - Fast assembly and disassembly - heated rear window - luxurious interior finish - low weight - higher risk of torn hood .. don't quite get that last one - I guess they are referring to higher risk without the hard top. |

The pricing is over 4 grand. It's beautiful but considering it's Thanksgiving and it's 60 degrees out right now I really don't have a need for this but it would be a nice option if the price was reasonable.

Not a fan. Oddly proportioned.

$4k! That cost more than the Honda Civic I drive in winter. I'll keep looking for a used OEM.

$4K is too much. I love the look and would easily pick this one over the OEM at the same cost or even slightly higher but $4k is too much. That's like 1/3 of the resale value of my '03!!

For an apples to apples comparison, how much did the OEM units cost when new?

thanks! So, the price is similar and most seem to like the look of this one better. so, If the quality and fit of the new one are as good as the OEM roof, we may have A nice alternative for us roadster owners.

The things is I don't think many (any?) people buy the OEM at MSRP. The worst you can do is $3,500 new from Tischer (assuming the person knows better than just ordering it from a random dealer). The best, under $2K. I think this would be competitive at around $2,500-3,000 as most people have no problem waiting a while for a sale or buying used in as-new condition.
