Thanks--writing again for Road & Track would be great, but I'll have to retire from my day job first. Is your wife's S5 repaired yet? I followed a regular A5 coupe for quite some distance the other day--what a great-looking car. (And the S5 is even nicer.) Rick |

The work was average, or less, so we'll see... Thanks for asking. We replaced her 911 ('05) with this '09 S5. It's absolutely incredible. It was a Florida car, brought into Canada at her request. Cape Speer Newfoundland. The most easterly point in North America! I really like your car! Our MZ4 was black...I like your colour better. edit: Thought I would tease everyone...The second shot is a buried car? on the beach at Tofino, B.C. So looking at these two photos-- Cape Speer is the most easterly point of North America Tofino is as close as I have to the most westerly point of Canada (Someone drove on the breach. The incoming tide would take the sand right out from under the tires of a parked car. Result? One abandoned car.) Tofino has magic weather. Great storms. In Tofino I was told, "No bad weather. Just bad clothes."

Last week a Miata friend, The Badger, led a group of us to Aylmer Ontario. There's a viewing station there for Tundra Swans.
I've been there before. Perhaps 15 years ago. We expected to see 3,000 swans. Sometimes there are 5,000! I don't think we were early enough. Guessing, perhaps 2,000. I've seen many more before. The ground was white! Here are 2 in flight. d300s/70-300VR This will become a rite of spring. They are majestic!

Some year or another I'll own a 911. I've always liked them and have driven quite a few. But an S5 would be more practical... Speaking of black cars (and with red interiors), here's the first of the two Porsches that I've owned at one time or another. (I also had an '87 944.) Hope you get the S5 issues straightened out (no pun intended). Rick |

Absolutely beautiful!
S5 is straight. It's paint...it's attention to detail. It was immaculate before the hit. We belong to Porsche Club of America. It's an incredible organization. We've been there for...well, a while. Their newsletter is fantastic. My wife wants to take their euro tour. The 944 is a beautifully balanced car. There are some bargains. Did you race yours? Your Z4 car is an incredible choice. the 3 litre 6 is absolutely stunning. But it's what we do with cars that makes them special. ps you have mail. Best,

Here's a roadster bag for cars like ours without sufficient space. I know. It's a boxster.
