Maintenance/inspection count down (miles remaining indicator)

Does anyone know about the Inspection due count down (miles indicated on the dash) will accelerate if we track the Z4M? Not sure if the computer is smart enough to let us know bringing in the car sooner because their might be more wear and tear on the engine?

The Service Indicator countdown rate is based on fuel consumption. Track miles will result in higher fuel consumption thus an accellerated countdown; has nothing to do with wear and tear on the engine.

It's calibrated to fuel consumption (600 gallons, I think) and I can tell you from experience you'll be getting ~6 mpg at the track, so the service interval will be shorter.

At Pacific Raceway I get about 100 miles on a full tank or about 8 MPG. No wonder my Inspection I came up at about 22,000 miles

Thank you for your response. Maybe I needed to start tracking my car Got another 3,500 miles to go before the maintenance runs out, but inspection II timer indicating 6,500mile remaining. Would be nice if dealer cover the inspection II $$$$.

Short distance driving probably also has a lot to do with shorter intervals. When I bought mine it had 27,900 miles and the service indicator was at 7900 miles before the next oil change. My car now has 31,250 miles and the service indicator currently shows 2250 miles before the next oil change. So the difference in mileage is about 3350 miles but the difference with the service indicator is about 5650 miles. I've been averaging about 18mpg since I took ownership.

My odo is at 30,959 and SIA shows 4650 until the next Oil Service.
My MPG over the life of the car (30,959 miles) is 18.2 MPG.

Close to that value, 2,500 litres (660 US gallons).
