They look to be in great shape. Any thoughts on how difficult it would be to install in a different type of vehicle?

Depends on the vehicle. I have heard of them being fitted in a E46 without too much difficulty. I can take some measurements. The real challenge would be the wiring harness for the power/memory and heat.

They would if you already have power and heated seats - otherwise you would need to add the additional wiring from the fuse panel (and body grounds) to the seat. The seat heaters would additionally require the proper switch panel in the console.

Unlike early Z4s, the later cars did not have the extra wiring as part of the harness when the option was not installed. The bolt pattern is the same for sport and non-sport seats. If they are from a 2008 car, the seat occupancy sensor is compatible with the 2006 as well.
