Supercharger Hose Clamps

Well thanks to some board members after getting tired of standard zipper like clamps loosening and leaking or on the pressure side the hoses actually blowing off have switched to T-BOLT CLAMPS. Just the ones with the nylon insert lock nuts - not the ones with the springs.

Have to check all connections on the pressure side for sure - manifold to intakes, outlet port on supercharger to manifold - very little air getting through a connection can drop your boost to virtually nothing and you don't want to be taking everything apart every 3 weeks to tighten the clamps again.

While doing so I did note that that the bottom of the boost hose from the charger is VERRRRY close if not rubbing on the frame rail on that side. I already removed a stud bolt from there to get clearance but wonder if anyone cut / bent the frame to get some more clearance ? WHen the engine twists/torques on the mounts this would rub.

i removed the stud too but with my VT comp engine mounts theirs more clearance and the motor does not move AT ALL... however the motor Tqs the other way so its lifting away from this part of the frame, get someone to Rev the motor and you'll see :-)
