RE X pipe worth it?

I have RE diablos and love them, would the X pipes make more power or they are just for sound?

Xpipes are the best mod I've made, just for sound. Tons of pops and gurgles now, go for it!

Save for catless headers, exhaust mods are just for sound.
I also have RE cans and section 1. I figure loud enough was enough and never went for the X-pipe.
Glad to hear from someone else who loves their REs.

Mine sounds different depending on the weather.
Below 80°F nice grunt, low rasp. Start thinking "maybe I should get the X-pipe to get more rasp".
Above 80°F it rasps like a GTE and pops like Englewood on a Saturday night. Start thinking "glad I didn't get that X-pipe".

I think it was a worthwhile mod to do for the sound.

Spoke with rogue and they're on backorder. None will be made until next year.

Bummer! I have Euro headers, DKF S Pipe, and RPI cans. It now sounds loud and reeeaaaaallly good, but I was wondering if the RE X pipe could make it sound even louder and/or even better

Yea, that is a bummer.
We need to get parts while the gettin's good.
I've seen posts that say the RE sound better than the other leading brands.
I might order some just in case I decide to mount them.
If not, at least they'll be in circulation.

That's the truth, Stickmon. Parts that were available two years ago are now no longer made. I keep thinking about combining the Rogue x-pipe with my Powerloops. You could order a set and have them shipped to me, and I'll keep them in storage for you under my car.

As already said, just for sound, but they add a lot to the raw motor sports sound. Pops. Burbles. Etc. This transformed the Eisenmann sport cans on the Z4M to something more exotic without adding to drone. Having heard the SuperSprint Xpipe I think the Rogue does more for sound.

Another option might be to have an exhaust shop modify the stock xpipe. The stock pipe is thicker so the sound yield might be lower, but, with the RE cans volume is not really as issue. If it is, RPI cans might be your thing! Also, this means the car cannot be taken fully back to stock.

Am I reading incorrectly or wrong to assume that RE Diablos are louder than RPI?

Not louder. But much louder than stock RPI is another level.

If you're curious, this is what you can expect out of an RE X pipe. I have the S-pipes as well along with Stromung exhaust, so yours will be noticeably louder with those Diablos. Anyway, this is just a quick iPhone video I took sometime ago in a garage. Fun stuff, and I've had people comment on how nice the car sounds at stoplights etc.

Haha that woohoo at the end lol. Car sounds nice, and that clean dash with no SES or light bulb out lights looks neat, I miss it. Is that carbon leather or a CF 3M type?

Hah thanks, same whoohoo I give at least 10 times every drive with my ///M! The interior is just CF wrap, but the mirror caps are CF and so is my steering wheel which I added a couple months ago. Love the wheel!

Is there any interest from RE (and the forums) in developing a group buy? I have been toying with the idea of this part as well - not in a rush to purchase so 2018 delivery would be fine.
