If this works out for you I'll definitely be ordering a set.

Nice find! Let's see how this works out. Easier alternative to removing the lights and having it sent out for modification. But will it be better? I would go with the white lights.

Wow, sweet find.
Please let us know if you need any modifications for fit...etc. And Pics! PS - Jlevi has these, might be a smarter buy with them http://www.jlevistreetwerks.com/Z-Se...duct_info.html |

I did not see e85 or 86 anywhere on the jlevi page. Bimmian also has a link, but if you follow it it also doesn't have anything that says e85/e86.

That makes me suspicious now. I thought our cars just had a halogen bulb. Not a AE bulb like the E9xs and all other cars have. |

BA9S
The 2006-2008 take a tiny BA9S base bulb. Those bulbs you linked don't look like a drop in replacement. I took mine out and was going to mod a high power LED to replace it but never got off the ground. I tried a 9 SMD off the shelf LED with a BA9S base and and it was whiter but dimmer than the stock OEM 10w Halogen. Plus I got the bulb out warning.
BA9S bulb link If anyone has a damaged headlight with halo I could really use it. I want to experiment with some high powered LEDs but it's hard to do while the headlight is on my car. I really don't want to get into removed my headlight to experiment. So, anyone know a wrecked car with a busted halo headlight? |
