Hey burt, I'm going to be remaking the section 1 piece for my car as a straight pipe from prebends myself. I don't normally fab up exhausts though. I'm sure I'll have prebends and pipe left over if you want me to make something for you. I'll do it dirt cheap at actual cost cuz I need practice . I think straight piping it is going to cost me <70 in aluminized steel.

Big Picture of Headers-

Hi All- I thought I would update with a picture of the active autowerke headers before I installed them. The quality is very easy to spot.

Probably the same as the others 15-20 whp and tq. I see different numbers all over the place...I doubt it is much different from other headers though.

The front fenders aren't that heavy to begin with. If you want some serious weight saving, take out the engine. That's several hundred pounds of weight loss right there.

LOL, that was my car, well I think this is dead, but I have some parts off the beast for sale.

they are custom made and the price for the panels only is about $xx,000.00, so unless was a big group buy they are too expensive.

Ex. Just the roof is $3k

Too expensive is subjective. I would (obviously to me) expect all the panels to be $XX.000

I thought the whole thing was more than $xx,000.00...I thought it was $xxx,000.00. If it was high $xx,000.00, then it really is only for racing applications. If the roof is $3k, then I imagine the hood is a lot more than $3K? BTW, is the CF hood racing pins only or will it fit for stock hood open/close applications?

Not necessarily on the price. Pretty much the exact same labor in involved between the roof and hood despite the size difference. I mold is made and the CF is layed. Really the only extra cost is some extra material. Most of the labor is involved in setup and initial molding which only varies when there is an extreme size difference or shape complexity (multi piece molds and so on)

In other words the roof and hood probably cost about the same in respect to the CF laying. The hood might have some added time due to reinforcement though.
