carfax

Four owners, four service records. One owner looks weird, was it owned by Irvine BMW at some point?

My advice is to stay away from this one.

Poor old girl. I'm not sure why there would 4 owners in 4 years. Not a good sign and it would make me run the other way.

The worst part is the "Body electrical wiring repaired" showing up twice on the carfax.
I was tempted to trade mine for it but NOOOOOOOOOO way would I get into that.

I don't know if this would be significant, or not, my '06 has this entry on its service history at 441 miles- "Check Fuel Pump Wiring on E85/86 with S54 prod from 1/06-9/06" I assume it was a recall type thing. Would this show up as a body wiring issue?

I dunno. If a thorough PPI by a reputable shop checked out, this could be a bit of a bargain. The other thing to do is to call up some of the dealers that worked on the car and ask them for a history - they are more willing to give up some info if you tell them you want to bring the car in for PPI. You can always cancel the PPI (dealer PPI's tend not to be the best).

For some reason, dealers find it hard to sell these cars and are willing to negotiate, so if it checked out mechanically it might just be the right car for someone.

One of the most unusual things about this carfax is in the first two entries: 12/6/2007 and 12/21/2007. It was purchased on 12/06/07, and did anyone notice the mileage on 12/21/07? 4,320. That first owner put 4,000+ miles on the car in 15 days, or almost 290 miles per day during that time period. What the hell....

Wiring harness may have been pinched.

Reroute away where it's pinched with tape.

I'm guessing it was reported as a typo. It probably had 432.0 miles at the 15 day mark.
