Change of Interior Trim, is it possible at reasonable price?
Hi All,
I have a new to me z4mc silver grey/light sepang with the brushed alum interior trim. I don't mind the interior trim but think it would look much better with a black (carbon fiber look) interior. I was searching to buy this but can't find it. Can somebody send a link, if it is available, and give opinion if it is worth to change. I checked on real OEM and saw the MSRP for all three parts would be about 1K which is probably not worth it. To me the looks take a back seat to the experience of driving this thing, so I don't care that much, but just thought it might be cool if it was worth it. Thanks for your opinions. Mike |

It does come up used occasionally in classifieds. Keep looking and be patient would be my advice.

You should also ask a good paint shop how much it would cost to paint it piano black. I'm near Philly if you wanna check mine out

Here is a thread that shows what you are looking for.
I believe I saw another thread in the past that showed DIY CF wrap of all dash trim http://www.zpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=632091 |

I'd keep it to the dash and console...but that's just me.

Wow, thanks for all of the input.
Roffle, what was ballpark cost for the paint job? I would probably take to a shop like you since I wouldn't trust myself doing it right. The aluminum is luckily pretty clean (prev. owner seemed to take good care of this thing other than a few minor scrapes and paint chips on front bumper), so it's not somethingI need to do right away but just thought it would be a cooler look. |
