Brief comparo - Z4M vs 228i MSport
Wrote up a blog piece about my shared ownership experience of the Z4M Coupe and my wife's 228i Msport MT. Two very different cars, almost equivalent and price and both representative of the best enthusiast BMW offerings!

That is a good combo. I share the Z4 3.0si Coupe with the M235i myself. (Can you tell what my favorite car color is?)

Nice review. 7/10 for the Z4 coupe for Exterior seems a bit harsh on one of the best looking Bimmers in yonkers. Must be at least a 9/10. I was driving in mine the other day and drove past a 1 series on the road and asked my passenger: 'what you think of that?' "Just another car", she said. Now, I quite like the compactness of the 1 & 2 series, but yes - it is just another car by contrast to the Z4 coupe.
Also, the article would have more cred if you were comparing an M2 or 235 against a Z4M. |

Open to more comparisons if folks are offering up an M235i or M2. To be quite honest, the annual cost of ownership is nearly identical between the 228i and Z4M hence the possibility to cross shop and compare. An M2 or M235i adds at least another $9-10K to the table and for that price I could swing a proper 2 car garage. I also find the 235i/240i the odd one of the bunch - the 228i being balanced and barebones and the M2 the tarted up sporty coupe. Just my .02 |
