Side mounts for Sparco Pro 2000.
Hey all,
I will be installing my first racing bucket soon and am looking for some advice on which side mounts to get. I have the VAC floor mounts and Sparco Pro 2000 on order. What would you recommend? Brand, material, adjustability (angle or slider)? |

On second thought, perhaps go with Sparco-specific sidemounts Scott:
http://www.sparcousa.com/seats_acc.asp And you should get some hardware for mounting. Four bolts for the sidemount to fix into the seat (2 on each side), and four bolts to affix the sidemounts onto your VAC floormounts (also 2 on each side) p.s. it looks like the steel sidemounts have more bottom holes (so you'll have more options in terms of fitment/adjustability. Plus, they're a lot cheaper than the aluminum brackets that Sparco offers. |

We don't have any interest in swapping the passenger side seats, since only the driver really needs to be held into the seat on the track (and there's no airbag sensor in the driver side seat to worry about). But for those that are interested in also swapping out the passenger seat, a simulator can be purchased and plugged in to the factory wiring. It's ridiculously expensive though IMHO. I wouldn't even bother with it just cause of all the costs involved. Especially since, as I already mentioned above, OEM seat is more than enough for passengers.
