I would start with Vibra technics motor mounts. I could notice a distinct difference even with the AS SSK installed after I installed my motor mounts. That leads me to believe that motor play is a big factor. Besides nobody's attacked the problem of 2nd gear grind by first going after motor mounts. It could be some valuable feedback for everybody else.

Did I mention that they are works of art also?

Just got back from RMP motors for my Inspection + Valve Adjustment + SSK install. Rocco is a stand up guy; I drove all the way from London based on the recommendations of this and other threads, and I stand by them.

Anyhow, my first impression of the shifter was "holy-wow". Feels exactly like an S2000.... however I'm mildly disappointed that it sort of amplifies the notchy-ness of the transmission. The shorter throws result in more required force, which my wife isn't thrilled about. I'm wondering if it needs to work in a little bit?

Don't get me wrong, it feels good, and I guess requires some getting used to. It certainly feels more sporty, that's for sure.

That's why I don't like short shifters. Add a jafster shift knob which is tall and it will be the best of both worlds.

I have both, the AS SSK and Jaffster. They should be sold as a set. Just be sure to use some locktight on the three mounting screws on the Jaffster. They tend to work loose.

I personally went with the Rouge engineering shifter. The height and weight is perfect and it doesn't look like a sex toy.

Probably not. I held it twice already, and it's a tough job coordinating everything. You can try hitting up Ronald @ AutoSolutions and see if he has any kits still in stock in their inventory.

Hmm are those engine mounts for a daily driven car? Haven't had much time for tracks, mostly daily driven. Overkill?

Oh, very nice!

Yes, I know this for a fact: that RHD is indeed different from LHD. Make sure you order the correct one.

If it's a GB, and there's LHD I'm in on this.
