Anti-theft/immobilizer ????

hello everyone! I need some help! my car wasn't starting so I took it to the mechanic and he told me that the problem was the alarm system. He checked spark, fuel pressure, and electrical connections, and everything is fine. How do I deactivate or reset this thing to get it to start? also the hood is not closing well, could this be triggering the alarm? thanks everyone !
p.s. it is a 254 z4 2004

The hood switch for the alarm is notorious for failing. It is located in the base of the v for the strut braces on the firewall. Try connecting the two wires and see if that eliminates the problem.

thanks for the info ! do you know if there is a switch or something to reset it? and by connecting the two cables you mean disconnecting the sensor and connecting one wire to the other?
