eBay Afternarket Headlights (Angel Eyes) Review
So I know this has been posted before but most wrote them off just based on the fact they are eBay mods and nobody actually tested them out. Ironically our friends in the UK bought these from a US seller and posted their review. They offer both replacements for halogen and xenon and I have to say they don't look that bad. To the trained eye it definitely looks aftermarket but maybe you can specify to seller for a more white AA as opposed to blue. For the price considering you get to have a 2nd complete said it's not bad. I'm assuming output isn't as good as oem but my only real concern is the chance of something shorting but aside from that I think I could live with it...

So according to what Tekarbon's site says, they separate the lenses from the housings to do their thing. I did that to my Subaru a few years ago to paint the housings. If it's the same process, I'll do it myself. Minus the angel eyes. I don't much care about those, but I would like the opportunity to put a serious polish on the lens and some body-color paint on the housings.

Tis true baking will only ruin the headlights. You need to cut them open...

Really? Baking doesn't do it? I had to do baking of headlights on my E46 325Ci (facelifted coupe) when I did the angel eyes. Had someone help me out though (someone that had already done it successfully before).

These headlights look very nice, and it appears they finally came out with a Xenon version (which is what the majority of us have been waiting for...). The chrome finish looks a little too bright for my tastes, but the black ones look sharp.
Someone should give these a shot! I might just do so in a few months Chris

I'm just not crazy about the eyelid/strip on top. I would've preferred a closer match to oem design, or at very least option to clear out that eyelid.

When I was very heavy over on Z4-Forum, several members in the UK had great success in splitting open the lights by heating them up. Though, as a safety measure, it was recommended to have a set of doaner lights just in case so you could make two from four.

Interesting. It does look pretty good, but 7 hours to rewire...wow.

EWW what the shit? Those look awful IMO.
The only headlight i would ever consider switching is for the clear marking, black housing, bixenon OEM lights. To be fair though, I am not even a fan of AE upgrades and the like, it always makes cars look cheap IMO.
