Inspection I Coming...What to Program?

Inspection I is coming for my car; and I wanted to get a couple things programed.

While I'm there, anything else should I get programed?

1. 15 MPH Locks
2. 3 Blinker Lane Change

In addition, I'm having them check out the 2nd Gear Grind.

Any else I should get programed while there?

Thanks

They're probably not going to be able to fix the 2nd gear grind, as the problem might be inherent to our cars. There are a few threads on that subject. It might just risk them trying to repeat the problem -- and perform more grinding in the process while not fixing anything related to the issue. Gluck.

If you're going to pay the $150 for the programing why not get the $40 alarm and have them activate it while they're programing? They prob won't charge you as much and you get some beeping and extra security.

The dealership our family goes to doesn't charge for programming. As long as it's in for service they'll do what they ask.

I asked my local dealer to program the 3 blinkers signal and they told me it was not available on my 2007 Z4MC. This was the same dealer could not figured out why my center console light was constantly ON. That was the last time i visited them.

You may want them to enable the "relocking" feature. This enable the car to re-lock itself after two minutes if for some reason it was unlocked, but the doors never got opened.

Awesome...good looking out.

Is there anyway to program auto folding mirrors when I lock the car?

When the car came off the shipping truck...the mirrors were folded. I don't know if they did it manually...but there is no button within the cabin by the mirror adjustments that you can press so they auto fold

^the mirrors themselves can be manually folded up, but north american market z4m's did not have the option of electrically foldable side mirros unfortunately. the feature is somehow standard in europe though.

My Canadian 2007 Z4M has the power folding mirror option, part of the premium package in Canada, which was different than the US premium package.

Bummer

I didn't want to test and see if they were manual fold and end up ripping the mirror off.

^my mistake with canadian-spec z4m's. the us-spec ones do not have the option whatsoever unfortunately manually folding the mirrors up is really easy to do and it's unlikely u'll strong-arm it so much tt u'll break it off.

Yea, probably.

I'm just use to my E46 mirrors. Their resistance point is little to none...and they didn't fold up like these do
