I'm an avionics system engineer-- I worked on the FMS for the 747-400 from about 1988 through 1999. Some of the things that frustrate you may be my fault!

Age 45, Computer (Nerd) Consultant. Purchased my Z4 in March 2010 after my wife passed. I needed an escape and the Z has been very good at that task.

27 here and have been in the car biz on and off the past few years.. past six months have been with the biggest auto group in the province. Was a business manager, and now I'm selling and doing some portfolio analysis. Bought my Z4MC just over a month ago, put on some TE-37s and then gonna sell it to my father right away lol.. Not that I won't continue buying parts, though
Oh, and PS. I love that the co-pilot (presumably) has his foot up on the dash in that pic LOL |

Geezus!! I am 56 and a software developer on a dying application. Got my Z4 when I was 55. I was thinking it was my "midlifecrisismobile", but I am probably well beyond mid-way. Odd! I have the same rides as the OP. 2006 silver-gray Z4si and a 2004 honda accord.

Nope, I suspect I've got you all beat! I'm 71. Retired software engineer (IBM large mainframe operating systems).
Even while my kids were growing up and I was required to have a family hauler, I've usually also had a special car to satisfy my car-guy desires! My first car was a '40 Ford Coupe which I bought at age 14 for $75. I replaced the engine myself (at age 14) and loaned the car to my older sister to drive to school 'til I was old enough to get my license. |

Graphic Designer and Photographer. I bought a lightly used 2.5 so I could get a taste of what these 3.0 and M folks get to enjoy for the same price is a boring Civic. Welcome. I've had mine a year and a half and it's been a fabulous car.

Another old man, 48, jack of many trades including managing an IT development and production shop until 10 years ago. Currently I'm out of IT, but use the background in predictive modeling, analytics, and health improvement outcomes. I also work a bit in workflow/operations design and contracting on the side when I'm not doing the other two things.

Damn, thought I had it until Mr. Goodthrust posted above. I just turned 59, and work as a Project Manager for a company that makes thermal infrared cameras (BMW uses them in their night vision systems). Bought my Zed as a retirement present from my first career, after 30 years in more DoD related night vision stuff.

35 in a few months, I'm the VP Creative Services for an advertising company in the city.
My 2nd Z4, bought the first one new for my birthday in '05, replaced it with the current at the end of my lease as it was a new LCI with an even rarer combination than the first. |

55. Attorney. I think the OP has great taste in his Z4 selection.
I bought mine a year ago as a weekend car. Now, drive it more than what was my DD, the 335i. If it's not raining, I'm in the Z with the top down.

I'm 62 and have a bicycle shop. After 32 years, left the day to day operations to the trusted employees (because I was no longer able to wait on the public). Now work part time as a quality assurance inspector working with some amazingly skilled guys that assemble the very largest surface mining and quarry equipment (shovels, loaders, haul trucks). I'm into the old car hobby and have always driven sports cars.
