Going to need tires.

Looking for comments on these two

Leaning towards the Continentals.

Thanks.

I just got the super sports yesterday and they ride great. Have only done a little spirited driving but they handle great.

Garage List
Consensus seems the only thing the Conti's do better is wet traction, and are cheaper of course. They are also on backorder in a lot of sizes (at least they were last time I checked), but they are a good tire as well

SuperSport hands down no questions asked

ETA: esp if you are doing performance driving of any sort. These are identical car, identical track, identical conditions

Looks like an air pressure problem?

Interesting because no matter how hard I tried, I could not get my OE Conti's to tear up like that. So you drove both cars?

I did not drive either car. These were open drive days that were sponsored by michelin. (note the conflict) However, that being said, it does show the level of performance difference between the two classes of tire. The DW is a performance street tire, not placed in the re050 category. The Michelin PSS is a next gen tire intended to establish the benchmark and compete against the arguable RE050 replacement, the S04 Pole Position in a Max performance category without compromising wear (RE11/PSC/RS3).

I've done back to back testing between them and seen similar results to the pictures above. The PSS also handled awesome in the rain, consistent is the best word I can use to describe how much better it feels over the Conti. ( I drove both cars back to back, as did my good friend who drives in Grand Am)

For street driving the Michelin Super Sport is one of the best performance tires you can buy.
