Pulled up next to a Z3M today...
Pulled up next to a Z3M today yellow with the top up. I pulled up in Lucy with the top down and at the next light he put his top down. I told him I was making him look bad :-). The car is definitely a daily driver the front had seen better days. Love the stance of that car. Is it the same engine as the Z4M? How much lighter is the Z3M? Looked to be a very fun drive.

Only the 2001 model year Z3M got the S54. They're between 50-100 lbs lighter.

The engine depends on the year of the car. The earlier Z3 ms got the S52 engine while the later models got the S54. There is considerable difference between those two engines. Here's some interesting info from an owner that has both.
http://forum.roadfly.com/threads/819...ve-one-of-each) I went from an S50 (european model when I lived in London) Z3 MCoupé to an S54 Z4 MCoupé. These two engines are more similar, but the S54 is still a little more sophisticated. |
