So I bought new injectors from ESS, installed and flashed. To make a long story short.... no more limp mode!! So, so happy. I was able to not only beat my personal best at a specific track where I would generally get many limp modes (a high speed track), but I took out the entire class by over 1.5 seconds. And on street tires!! She is an absolute beast now. I mean, always has been..... but limp mode used to break my stride so often it sometimes made it hard to appreciate just exactly what an animal she has become.

Thanks so much GMD for your posts about this issue. Without them I'm not sure how much longer I would have had to live with it. Big time karma coming your way from Down Under.

Just a quick question mate, do I need bigger injectors with VT2-500 kit?

what did ESS say?? i think they use the injectors from the Vt1 on our kits.

fuel logs and AFR targets are perfect so they are sufficient , our crazy fuel pressure levels make injector choice seem strange. i would have personally liked to see a much larger capacity used but with the fuel pressure we run i don't think we get it to idle properly.

I didn't ask ESS, i just wanted to see if george had these issues with the wrong pulleys as well before he swap the correct pulleys and the only remaining issue was the injector size.

I don't think we'll have an issue with idling with bigger injectors, what makes you we'll not idle correctly ?

If your AFR 's are good and you are not having issues then I'd say your good to go . You'd have to ask ESS about what injector size you have as they scratch off the serial numbers on the injectors. The most important thing is to have the correct tune /injector combo . If you didn't you would be running lean or pig rich depending on whether you had too small or too large for the tune . So in short putting larger injectors in without changing the tune wouldn't help you out and might hurt , unless you had the wrong injector size like I did . ( you'd be running lean and having limp modes if that were the case )
