Eisenmann quad muffler install on Z4 (non-M)

I've got a question for anyone that has installed an Eisenmann quad muffler on a Z4 (non-M). The problem I've encountered is that the passenger side piping interferes with the fuel charcoal cannister. It appears that Eisenmann designed it for the European version of the cannister, which is considerably smaller (the lenght is approx. 4" shorter). I know there others in the US have installed these, and I'm wondering how they got around this issue (i.e., relocated the cannister elsewehere; eliminate it; retrofit european version; or custom cut the cannister to shorten the lower charcoal chamber)? Attached are screen prints of the European version followed by the US version.

Regards,
David

The canister on a Z4M is stored under a plastic shield located mid-way between the two rear mufflers.
