I finally got a small update: They're still on track to make the coilovers for us. The delay has been because the engineer that was working on our kit left the company unexpectedly. So they've had to rearrange responsibilities to get another engineer to take over.

So at this time I don't have a firm time table. So if you need a kit and can't keep waiting feel free to let me know and I"ll remove you from the list. Everyone that's still on board, thanks for your patience.

As long as I get them by next Spring, no rush. Just let us know if the deal ever goes cold so we can look for something else.

If these are custom, could we provide input on adjusters etc...

If there is a willingness by the group to improve the product for better quality and improved usability we should take advantage of it?

Do you know if this is going to be a one and done run or will they make it a full production kit?

I'm not sure what you mean. The kit will be engineered to be the best by testing it on a shaker rig and coming up with optimum dampening characteristics for the chassis.

You will still have a fair degree of control, you can adjust the dampeners and you will have a choice in spring rates. You can either go with the recommended rates, or go up to 30% stiffer if you want.

We're dealing with the US subsidiary. The main (swedish) company could decide to carry it as a product, but they usually don't unless they can sell thousands of them. So more than likely it will be a one-off but it's not set in stone.

i went ahead and called Ohlin myself and talked the the engineer working on our kit. He said they placed the order for the parts for the proto kit last week and on their way from Sweden =] still need to do testing and pricing but it looks very good. He also said that they are trying to now incorporate a complete plug and play kit using Ohlin Springs and possibly camber plates. He also noted that more likely than not this kit would be carried over to their full production line of Road and Track kits

Been lurking for a while, but I'd like to jump in on the list. Hoping we can get it close to 3k if we get enough names.

is there still going to be a variety of options? if we wanted swift springs and vorshlag camber plates, as opposed to ohlins own spring?

Honestly I do not know at this point. Originally they weren't going to provide anything but the dampers and we were putting together packages through a dealer, but as you can see when Str8 RippiN called they said they were putting together the whole thing.

I still have a dealer on board to give us a package deal for springs/plates/etc. so as long as they can provide the dampers separately that option will still be on the table.

TLDR: let's cross that bridge when we get there.

Update! In two weeks there will be a test-fitting and initial mockup of the suspension parts. Thanks IN10SS for helping out!

They offered me dates of 9/19, 9/20, or 9/23 for initial measurements and test fitting. I replied and said I could make any of those days work, but preferred 9/19. Should hear back soon, but we're on track. I will likely have to go back again in the near future; how long depends on how close a match there is with some existing components. I'll post again when I learn anything.
