Part ID help..Sunglass holder

As the title says, I was trying to put my sunglasses in the holder in the ceiling, must have forced it closed and now it won't say closed. Its super annoying that it just hangs down. Besides putting tape across it I'm having a hard time finding it online...

Does anyone know where I can get this besides the dealership, or can i just replace the tiny clip that holds it closed?

Find part numbers at RealOEM.com, then pictures at ECS Tuning, then best price at TheBMWPartStore.

RealOEM suggests MSRP at $55.27, but the cheapest I see is TheBMWPartStore for $279.65.

I'd be looking at some Velcro.

so the total now is..both cup holders broken, and the sunglass holder...way to go german engineering..

When I got the car I let my Son open and close the cup holder, just to show him how cool it was.
Then I told him "now never touch it again".

I use something akin to the "Ultimate cup holder", but for $5 at Pep Boys.

Yea, they are pretty cool the way they work, them being broken means there's no drinks in the car which is a rule and makes it easier to enforce..

I'm thinking about replacing my driver sides cup holder with a P3 Vent Gauge..
