Have you consulted the TIS to see what the BMW procedures say?

I just did a quick check of the TIS, I think the entire dashboard assembly must be removed from the car. Quite involved.

yeah the entire dashboard has to come out. i have since sold the car. but if you need help lmk. i can try my best to remember what i did.

Well, I used a dremel, otherwise I would have to disassemble everything ...
So here is my first attemp : I used PVC here, and would make a real support after, maybe in aluminium. |
