Front Bumper Damage, Help!
Wish this wasn't my first post, but unfortunately it is! I finally joined the Z4 club 3 weeks ago with a 2003 Z4 at 50k miles and the front of the car seems to be cursed under my possession. I reluctantly let my dad drive it and he pulled the front bumper onto a curb in a Stabuck's parking lot.... guess it was my fault for letting him, curb scuff for the win! However, the bigger problem was the bunny rabbit that must have been attached to a cinder block I hit on the expressway Friday...
The little bastard hit hard enough to crack a small portion of the bumper, completely rip out the the right front fender liner connection to the splash guard, break the lower screen in two, and ripped a hole out of the bottom of the splashguard/engineshield where it all meets and dislodge the plastic lower radiator piece just behind the grill. Shoot me! These are the parts: RF Fender - http://www.ecstuning.com/ES129069/ F Lower Screen - http://www.ecstuning.com/BMW-Z4-2.5i...16061/ES74370/ Engine Shield - http://www.ecstuning.com/Search/Site...723/ES2627490/ I'm going to just buy the parts and replace it on my own, but I have one part I'm not exactly sure of and wanted to see if anyone could give me a better idea as to what it was? Its just behind the screen in front of the radiator on the passenger side. All the RealOEM pictures I'm looking at are leading me to the Right Front Air Duct, but when I look at the part I can't decide with certainty that its the right one and when I look it up I only find it correlated to the Z4M, http://realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?...63&hg=51&fg=75 Here's the part on ECS: http://www.ecstuning.com/BMW-Z4-M_Co...Body/ES128517/ Also, does anyone have any experience with replacing the posts the screen holes fit onto on the inside of the front bumper? I'm not sure that it busted any of them off as I haven't taken the bumper off yet, but I wouldn't be surprised if it did. Any suggestions? Thanks! The damage currently held up by duct tape... Here's a better picture of the front without the bumper so you can see the piece better, I took the pic off of mister_roger's Z4 to Z4M F Bumper conversion post: |
