E85 2004 Z4 Leaking Mirror

Hi guys first post for me I just got me a E85 2004 Z4 and when I purchased it the rear view mirror was leaking inside with 3/4 of it already dark 24/7 =/ I was browsing my local trade me sites and found this mirror.

http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/List...60&permanent=0

does anybody know if this can be used as a direct swap

any help, info or even guides of how to remove mine would be greatly appreciated =D my main concern is for the key fob to still work.

electrochromic gel in his auto dimming rear view mirror is leaking. Sadly, this does happen over time.

This happened to my MKIV VW GTI. I looked up online, and I found a link to the company that created this mirror. They were doing repairs for a very reasonable price. So took it off, sent it to them, and within a week I had it back as good as new. I tried to do a simple search but was unable to find it.
I was turned onto the company by following a post on vwvortex.com. Might be a good place to check out.

By beef with it if it does leak is what the liquid or gel will do to the dash and interior It will be a mess to clean.

If it leaks it can eat away at the interior... so when you see it start to go bad you need to remove it asap!

That liquid is corrosive.
