Water in trunk
So I have an 05 z4. For some reason when the car is parked on a slope water gets in the trunk. I found out the hard way. If it's parked any oher way there's no problem with water. So now my stereo won't work. Only one speaker works. It seems like the sound is coming from behind. Maybe in between the seats. It's also not like a regular speaker. It sounds like a subwoofer? Not sure. Its very low quality. Kind of how a car from the 80s would sound like. Also once in a while I will get sound on the right side of the car with static. So my question is, is the amp in the trunk the only thing that's damaged? Is that the only thing that has to be replaced?

Your amp is likely fried or partly fried. When you have the amp out drill some 1/4" diameter holes in the low points of the plastic tray so the rain warer can drain out. Also clear the drain holes underneath the top that shed the rain water, they are likely plugged with leaves and debris. Do a quick search on the DIY section to find info on the drain holes.
