Plus that looks like it wouldnt work for a manual possibly, Not to mention if you look he just cut an existing holder to fit it seems.

I have an auto, but you're right. I was just curious about it. The other problem is it's way to low down to view anything on it, would only be good to secure an iPhone, instead of throwing it on the seat, which I do now, or leave in my pocket.
