window motor Z4M

MY 2006 Z4M is in need of a window motor for the driver's side. Will a non M 2003 Z4 motor work? I've read that they're the same but have also read that they won't work for a 2006. Any help is appreciated guys!

If you look up a part in bmwfans.info you can click on the "i" in the blue box by the part number and it will take you to a page that shows ALL the BMW models that part is used on. Looks like the motor is the same across all the E85s.

http://bmwfans.info/parts-catalog/67626927548/

Suprisingly, the E86 uses a different motor.....

I just had this happen to me a few months ago and was able to use a non M window regulator in my 2006 Z4M.

Wow man this is helpful, thank you! Perhaps the E86 needs a bigger/stronger motor as the window is a bit bigger than the E85's

yea I've done the same as you, but in this case it's not the regulator, just the motor itself

I'm still struggling to find the motor for my 2006 (03/2006) Z4M! Take a look at the pictures below; the motor with the black plastic part is the one I bought. As you can see, it doesn't match the connector to the OEM motor (the one with the white plastic). As per ECS Tuning, dc_wright, and other websites, the part number 67626927548 was superseded by part # 67629116626 (according to realoem .com). Most places selling the motor don't have an image to show the motor they carry. The sites that do show the image of the motor, look exactly like the one I bought but apparently that's not the correct one.

I'd appreciate any help guys!

The part # on the motor you bought (black casing) appears to be either out of an older Z4 (pre-2005) or an E46. Found this on real OEM:

Part 67628362063 was found on the following vehicles:
3' E46   (04/1997 — 08/2006)
6' E64   (09/2002 — 07/2010)
6' E64 LCI   (04/2006 — 07/2010)
X5 E53   (10/1998 — 09/2006)
Z4 E85   (01/2002 — 11/2005)

Just to confirm you are looking for driver side right? The # number you referenced in your last post is for the passenger side (67626927548). I believe the part # you would want would be: 67626927547.

Pulled from Real OEM:
Drive for window lifter, front left 04/2004 01/2007 67626927547
Drive for window lifter, front right 04/2004 01/2007 67626927548

Yes, I need the driver's side window motor. I may have copied and pasted the incorrect part number, I have like 5 different ones written down lol. Let me give this a go, hopefully it's the same one as the broken one in my door shell right now. Thank you for your help RGlenn!!

UPDATE: I got my package yesterday for the new window motor. I was a bit hesitant to open it as I didn't want my package exploding! Anyway, swapped it out without removing the window regulator and voila! Window works just fine, however, I can't seem to program it to do a one click up, just down. Any ideas?

What's always worked for me is to lower it keeping your finger on the button the whole time and for a few seconds after it's completely down.
Then do the same going up.
Maybe rinse and repeat.

Actually I did try programming the window as I've done it plenty of times before but that didn't do it. As of this morning, it's now working with one click, maybe it needed a drive cycle.
