While tightening the last clamp after getting everything quickly and easily readjusted the threads stripped on the clamp. I read somewhere in the thread to tighten as much as possible...guess I tightened too much. You guys think I could find something similar to just this piece at a hardware store? I see the whole clamp is $20-30 which is fine, I'd just rather not have my car up on stands until I get back from work again next month.
Also, Ian, do you know the source for these so I can make sure I get the right one?

too tight it seems, at least that part can be added without taking anything off or moving anything....
Well mines on..... not leaks, no CEL, but I've logged no miles, but on initial start up.... my RPI's seem quite bait louder!! lol!! fitment was perfect. alignment perfect.... if i get no CEL ill be very very happy... i really hope i don't need to Tq up those race clamps anymore as I'm probably on the limit on stripping them too... but i used a spanner as its easy to FEEL the bite point as it hurts your hand... now..... just need some seat time... FYI... so so so good to have the DKF hanger on which make alignment an absolute BREEZE!! ill report back as the miles come and go :-) praying for no CEL.

ok....
well i just drove this thing..... i can't quite express the sheer noise the car makes now.... it sounds incredible... the tone, the volume, the deepness have all increased by around 5x. once boost starts to build the noise is nothing like a noise id expect from the s54, its absolutely incredible.... i must must must get a recording... no CEL.. pretty much certain theirs no leaks... ill keep an eye and keep reporting but the noise.... WOW....... sounds straight exotic. my blown car feels like its making more Tq for sure... id bet my bottom $ on it....

There are a number of us with them installed.
I think our CEL for this is a different setup than yours. Other than guys with a tune we all have CELs These do sound amazing though with RPI's and definitely a kick in performance.

Once you have the tune doesn't it get rid of the CEL even with no CATS? Meaning the type and how effective the cats are is irrelevant?

Yes and no. It gets rid of the CEL, but you will fail an OBD2 inspection because the computer will return "not ready". Some companies claim to have found a way around this, but I'm not sure about the legalities.

I agree but didn't say it correctly. Now that he has a tune we won't know if the cats would have caused a CEL because with his tune there won't be a CEL light regardless of how well the CATS perform. As you said, still with the possibility of failing inspection.

I'm pretty certain they are still being used , in the ess application anyway, maybe just the sensitivity turned down. I've only done around 70 miles so far with a LONG journey coming tomorrow so looking forward to seeing if i get the CEL pop up...

keep us updated PLC on how install does, fitment any IF you get any issues, some seem to have had fitment issues but mostly report perfect fitment, mine was inch perfect.
if you still have the US spec Catted headers, i don't think this combo will cause you to get a CEL, the difficulties come when you swap the headers out. keep post updated and lets get some feedback please buddy :-) Good luck.

Took about 45 Minutes at the shop, Yea mostly a perfect fit. No CEL for sure even with Resonators for now. However, I cannot really hear that much different from before with just my SS mufflers and X-pipe. Errrr I probably need upgrade the headers too. Probably my next invest.

if you swap the headers you ears will bleed with your current setup, the noise will increase dramatically and also this is where the power comes from.

Really? XD if I get headers I probably could switch my resonators to the catalytic in the S-pipe. Errr if only I could afford a v2SS headers.

Still seems strange that oem euro headers throw no code on North American cars, but these parts do. You want a tune to get the most of these and new cat less headers anyway so adding he sensor tune as part of that is no big deal for most, but it's problematic for those with OBD readiness checks yearly.
