Ok good, was just checking.

I know so many people mentioned that you could just get a donut to use in case you get a flat, and I'm tempted to agree with them, because that opens up a lot of doors.

Personally, I think you'd really enjoy having an E90 M3 in your garage. I have an E92 M3 as well as a Z4MR and the cars really compliment each other. The E9x is a blast, the engine is so special, yet it's comfortable. And the gas mileage I'm getting is really not that much worse than the Z, although I don't really drive it in stop and go traffic.

Adding a Melbourne Red LCI E90 M3 would be

Why is this even a process of thought? The M2 is a garbage piece of shit. BMW has gone down the shitter. Everyone knows the last great M cars are the NA ones like the Z4M and E92 and of course S85 M5. Even bothering to think about the M2 is fucking pointless imo

Are you being sarcastic? I'm as big a fan as anyone of NA engines (particularly BMW Ms), and will keep my E39 M5 and Z4M coupe forever, barring unforeseen circumstances. I don't always agree with BMWs decisions, but then again I don't have to make sure the company stays financially solvent and independent. As such, at least for my DD I'll continue to support BMW M in the hopes that they will produce cars exactly like the M2. It may not match your ideal, but rear wheel-drive manual transmission cars are on on the endangered species list. Look, the M2 or my F80 M3 are not my ideal cars in some respects but they are fun to drive, especially as daily drivers. Have you driven an M2?

Anyway, massive respect to your S65 swap.

never had a Z4mc but driven a few and owned a 3.0si Z4C for 4 years.

recently test drove the M2 in hopes of finding a car that turns my crank like my 981 Cayman S used to.

Nice little car in many ways, but the turbo lag killed it for me. Drive a powerful NA with good throttle response and a turbo back to back and the lack of connection and immediacy is pretty obvious...

I would measure us as equal drivers because at a electric cart track he beats me and I beat him. His 375hp (or whatever it is) has instant torque. It just hooks up and goes. Very very planted.

If I had one car, the M2 would be it. But the Z4M is so raw and real and non turbo and the hand built engine and just so very special. They don't make cars like this anymore or ever will. I love it.
Greg also has a full racing sim at home and plays that a lot! He also has a natural talent that is unmatched by few people. I'm in awe of his driving. I can't even come close to him with my suspension-modified M4 with NT01 tires. But I'm also apparently just pretty bad at autocross.

At this point there's no one else in my class for the next autocross so maybe I have a chance at getting a trophy!

I recently went to a BMW event where they let me drive all of the high end models (all M's, i8, M760) and I wasn't particularly impressed by M2 (or M3/4) either, although this was just a short drive on public roads. Torque is nice, but the flat spot above 6k was noticeable. M6 GC is cream of the crop IMO, thing has some serious nuts, and the flat spot is less of an issue in a GT car. Want one very badly now

Yeah... all I want back is a REAL naturally aspirated M car and not some rip off regular 3 series M3.

We need to get back to when ///M was actually designing totally different motors for the M cars.

I test drove an M2 several months back, I'm glad I did because I couldn't get back into my Z4M fast enough. $58k sticker for what I'm not too sure of, way overpriced and the car did nothing for me.
