Thought so. This (car) plus house and etc. is a lot of change to think through and adjust to. Even if it's what you want to do changing up things is never easy. (We're considering moving down the road as well--but in our case to a smaller house but a larger garage--but just the thought of getting things set up to consider such a move is a bit overwhelming.) Never easy. Hang in there.

You've mentioned de-modding before, I was always curious as to why.
Definitely one of my top 3 favorite coupes on this forum, and your advice is always spot on. I'm going to echo Ron and say hang in there, life can be tough sometimes.

As said above, I don't see a lot of benefit in de-modding and then keeping the car. You collect 50-75% of the value of the mods, then have a car that isn't like you prefer. I would either keep it like it is or de-mod and sell it.
I see even less reason to switch out the suspension for another one you have to buy (unless for some performance or comfort reason). |

Hell, I just bought the wife an X1 and already have a BMS Stage 1 tune on order. It's an awesome addiction I don't want rehab for. :-) |

I think going back to stock is tough.
All the little things that were changed, either improve the driving experience or personlize the car. I think you will sell your car soon after de-modding... |

maybe this sounds cold (I don't mean it too) , but depending on when and if this ever takes place... dibs on the whole car as is (semi seriously). love what you've done with it, plus the obligatory drive back to BC would be epic

Ian, I personally benefited from your last demodding and eventual selling of your last z4m. Can you be sure the same wont happen again? I love the direction you car has taken and would suggest keeping it as it is.
That being said, if you do part I'm in the market for a local package on a bunch of your stuff too. |

I might be going this summer with the coupe. But calabogie and and a road trip to ottawa for a photoshoot would be even better.

I have also been looking at Watkins Glen. Seems there are some BMW CCA days there as well. Keeping an eye out for more info and will post on a separate thread when I find out. The drive to Watkins Glen from southern Ont would be about half that to Calabogie plus through the Finger Lakes! |
