Dual mass to solid flywheel

Has anyone swapped their 2.5 or 3.0 dual mass flywheel for a solid flywheel?

I'm thinking of doing mine as the flywheel needs replacing, the obvious advantages would be that it's cheaper than a DMF and has a performance gain.

However I'm worried about the disadvantages aswell, it may sound louder at idle or be a bit rough in first.

Has anyone done a swap or have any experience with thisin their 2.5 or 3.0? Is it much louder than a DMF and how's drivability affected specifically in 1st?

Cheers,
Graham
