Z4M sound clip-Active Autowerke Header
Z4M sound clip-Active Autowerke Header
Before and after. Both with Rouge exhaust. Stock x-pipe,stock section one. Before After Header install Sorry about the rain noise in the background on the "after video". Notice the 2x6's on the garage floor. Only way to get car in w/o scraping after H&R spring install. LOL. Will try to get some "load" sound clips next week...

Nice change in sound!
Sidenote: Rogue sounds so much better in person ... videos can just NOT capture the sound good enough.

sweet
In the clip it doesn't sound like too much rasp at all. That's one thing I wondered about with headers.

To really get the "real" sound you need some computer speakers with a bass box. A laptop or reg speakers make it sound "tinny"(Monty Python reference). Not at all what it sounds like. Nothing but positive comments from people that have heard it. Really sounds good when in gear loaded down. My dad who is 72 and thinks it's silly for me "to fix what is not broke" even likes the sound!

^EVERYONE has a father in law like that. Mine is a classic case. Got very angry last year when I checked the front tire of his van because it was way low on air- 15 PSI, and offered to pump it up. Told me it was fine because at highway speeds it heats up creating higher pressure. If it ain't broke don't fix it and even if it is don't. He was a mechanical engineer.

Nice comparison!
On a side note, your exhaust really looks good.

With sport mode on it's much louder. 2000-2750 rpm noticeable drone. Still love em though. If your running cats it's not so bad. I think everything but Remus and stock will drone with headers.

Hope to have some good drive buys this week for everyone. My buddy has some private road(old runway)(top secret too so don't ask). If I get the good vid camera borrowed I might even be able to get some good 120+ MPH runs in. Wont do it unless I get the good cam with a decent mic.:
