18x10 track fitment

Just wanted to share for reference since I didn't find anything before trying out this setup.
18x10 square fits with the right suspension and alignment settings. Tried out staggered tires for the first time and thought it was a good setup for the car. Very neutral with a hint of understeer. I thought it was good since the car tends to be more twitchy than my e46 m3 sitting close to the rear axle.

18x10 +25 square
265/285 Falken RT660

FR: -3.5 Camber
RR: -2.5

JRZ RS pro with 5 in springs and helper springs

Garage List
Advan or Apex wheels? What are your full tire specs? A few folks run 18x10 track setup but their cars are often sitting much lower with rolled fenders and modified control arms / roll center.

Any issues with rubbing, how are those fender liners looking!? Car looks mean, great color and wheel combination. I can see it gets driven as well with all the track rubber marks.

Thanks! They are actually TSW imatras. They are new and are pretty cheap for the weight. I wanted to buy apex vs5r wheels but couldn't pass up this deal since track wheels do have a certain lifespan and will take abuse. I could still buy a few spares for less than a set of vs5rs so decided to try the wheels out.

tires are 265/35/18 and 285/30/18. Only slight rubbing on the liner between the bumper and fender and full lock when parking.

The rubber marks are very little but the sideskirt had old PPF I removed so it's residual adhesive I had a very hard time removing.

Just as another point of reference: (3.0si, NOT the Z4M)

Apex SM-10
18x9 et30 front (265/35/18 R888R)

18x9.5 et25 rear (widened 2", roughly a 10.3" wide rim, calculates to ~45mm offset)
295/30/18 R888R

FR: -3.8 Camber
RR: -2.2

I rolled rear fenders, and aside from slight rub on inner fender plastic which is already eaten away, is about the widest I think can be fit

OP: I like those wheels!

Can’t remember once upon a time in the earlier parts of your build did you have arc 18x9.5 et35 on the fronts? If they were was there any issues with clearance loosing the 11mm for the bc coilovers?

ARC's fitment for the 3.0si is 18x9 front, not 18x9.5. This is why I have the narrower rim.

Never had issues with BC coilover clearance on this setup. I took a photo long time ago on clearance, was like a finger's width...

With those tire sizes, do you realize your fronts are a massive 14.5mm taller than your rears right? Not only will this look odd but it will affect performance and not in a good way.

This may not be the best setup for the track but it works well for street and some track.
Front, Apex EC-7 9"x18 Conti Ex S+ 245/40/18
Rear, Apex EC-7 9.5"x18 Conti Ex S+ 275/40 18
Not much camber in these photos but that will change for this spring and may let me lower the car a bit more.
I like the look of the taller sidewall and adds a little more comfort for the Hwy.

Too much tire looks incorrect IMO. I will never understand why people sacrifice functionally for looks. Wrong offsets, wrong tires, and on top of it you end up screwing 200 bucks wheel liners…

You must be younger than me, too little tire, like the rubber bands that are popular today look ridiculous.
I'm not sacrificing anything, the function I'm looking for is more comfort with performance a close second.
I've been building and driving performance cars for over 40yrs, I'm older now and the boy racer look is old hat.
My wheel liners are fine.

Good to see 40 series fit. From my experience, the dampers really make a huge difference. The jrz ride pretty well with my setup. Very good dampers with taller sidewall really makes the car very enjoyable to drive on the street. You get the close to the best of both worlds, very compliant with great handling.

Running 18x10 +25 squared 275/35/18 (3mm front spacer, 5mm rear spacer)
-3.6 front camber and -2.0 rear camber on KW Clubsports
Rubs on front and rear fender liner at the usual spots where bumpers meet fender on the liners

Update:

The 18x10s were good but decided to do 10.5 on my e46 m3 to stretch a 265 tire for increased steering response and load. Couldn't help but try it on the z4mc. Its wide but fits with my current ride height and jrz coilovers amd -3.5 camber. No rubbing.

What offset are the 18x10.5 wheels?
