Hells yeah...love it. To get 450 whp with vt2-500 I need to add the smaller pulley that Roman is including, which brings boost to 8psi. I also need Euro spec headers and 93 octane or higher. The 450 whp is without water/meth and would only be achieved in 60-70F temp sea level weather. Your right, 450 whp in the Z4M will be a serious ride I still can't believe the car made 410whp in 105F heat at 1300 elevation!! that is insane I may increase the boost to 9 or 10psi with water/meth and fail safes in place. That will be a calculated move and will be done carefully. I would like to get the car to 500 whp, but I need to do some homework first I just want to enjoy the car as it is for awhile and then make my decision to ADD

enjoy it for ALL of us! are you tracking the car or more into drag racing? Just curious why you would run water/meth plus nos.

Good questions. I want the car to be a strip and track car Water/meth is a perfect compliment to n2o because of the effective higher octane and the cooling properties. High octane will prevent knock and the water will cool cylinder temps. N2o dramatically cools intake temp, but creates one hell of an oxygen rich cylinder environment which drastically raises cylinder temps through combustion.... nice torque though. Torque is the main reason I'm keeping my n2o system. A small shot on top of the supercharger provides sweet torque gains when you want it. Cheers
here is a good article that explains in a nutshell why I want water/meth with my nitrous system..enjoy http://www.alcoholinjectionsystems.c...icle_info.html Last edited by fr8tdog; 08-13-2010 at 09:48 PM.. |

yeah, all this is just for fun. I don't track or strip the car much and probably never will, but I will definitely make it as fast as I can. Some ask why? I say why not cheers

I don't know what stage 2 cost...as it hasn't been released yet for our cars. Call Roman. My car was used for testing for proto type of vt1 and 2 and they had my car for 4 months. My price isn't an accurate indicator of what the actual price will be. The E46 M3 VT2 kit is out and it's price is on the web site. I think the Z4M is always more expensive because of poor demand and fabrication cost. Pricing questions should be directed to Roman. Cheers
here you go bro. this is the price for the E46 M3 VT2-500. I would guess the Z4M will cost more, but I have absolutely no idea for sure. http://www.esstuning.com/products/E4...8Gen.2%29.html Last edited by fr8tdog; 08-16-2010 at 07:23 AM.. |

yeah I know its not out yet, just thought you had the retail price since 2 people already have it running. I'm guessing $8500 -$9000

No...sorry I don't know what the retail price is, but I bet Roman does I do know that the Z4M presents many problems the E46 doesn't....and that coupled with demand issues will make it more than the E46.

I made it to Albuquerque,NM for the first day of driving....I'm dead ass tired, but Loved! the drive. I'm driving back to Memphis, TN. The temps were over 100F today and the car performed beautifully through the mountain passes at 6000ft elevations+ with no issues. I was climbing steep grades at 90+ mph and the oil temp never went over 200 and EGT's looked great. My first impression of the kit is a 10/10 and it pulls like a freight train. Even in this heat and crappy 91 octane the acceleration is eye popping. I definitely was pushed back in my seat and the tremendous induction scream is just awesome!! .....with a cool whistle and by-pass swooosh. I can't describe how much fun this car is. I will get some pics tomorrow. Met Roman this morning when I picked up the car...he is a stand up dude. Those of you considering VT2-500, you are going to love it! I promise. Cheers
