I've noticed I'm still jerky most the time from 1st to 2nd. So I guess I'll be doing that CDV thing. I love the sport button though....as I noticed last night it's not as restrictive with the traction control when it's on. I'm just about annoyed with that blinking yellow light though. I'm about to start driving with it steady on.

Yah, back to the topic...i tried the sport button and about killed the car.....felt like such a newbie too.....NEVER use the sport button. Sorry guys....i'm a sport button hater. Rozie

I've played with my Sport button a bit, and it really necessitates harder driving to "get" the difference AND the benefit of Sports mode.
If you want to pussy-foot around, then Sports mode is a pain. The throttle sensitivity is too much and the auto just sits in 3rd gear all the time, waiting for some action. But hit some favourite twisties - Woa Momma! - That is where it comes into its own. I guess that some of the fairer sex here, that find the Sports mode too unforgiving, well they just don't drive the car the way a Zed (Zee?) is meant to be driven.
