ALPR
In yesterday's National Motorists Newsletter they talked about the ALPR system for law enforcement. I didn't know anything about it, and was surprised at its sophistication. On the link provided you can see a demo of the ALPR. What I thought was very interesting was the ease that an Officer can enter a comment and have it carry just as much weight on flagging criteria as a stolen vehicle input. So, next time an officer pulls you over and has a casual comment re your driving or perhaps an aftermarket add-on, don't assume it will be lost in the wind.
It won't be long until ALPR is on Satellites happily checking everything everywhere. On the brightside there should be more employment opportunities in both the police and legal professions as we arrest more and more of our citizens. |

Betting if you have a shaded or filtered plate cover it will set off the alarm. Not cool the system can store "all the plates that it read"

Don't forget OnStar equipped company cars that track:
Needless to say, personal usage on my company vehicle is way down. I only use it when I don't want the Z to get wet. |

All this tracking would bo so much easier if we could just implant computer chips in peoples heads.
