Ambient temp sensor
So I believe the ATS has given up. It swings from +122 to -40 on a 30 minute drive. No codes yet. Question is, does ths sensor affect any engine functions?
It's simple to replace just a pain in a$$ to get at.

The only effect as far as I know is inability to lower the top and the A/C not working when it's stuck at -40. Are you sure it's a pain to get to? On my old car (2003 2.5) it was just behind a plastic cover in the wheel arch (the same cover you need to remove to access headlights).

Yea thats pretty much it, behind the headlight flap. Still a faff
No PT and don't use the AC so will just leave it for now. I did read that it can sometimes be reset by disconnect/ reconnect of the battery.
