some quick exhaust advice
hey fellas,
shopping for an exhaust was so easy when i had the e46M3. it's tough shopping for an exhaust for the z4mc. granted it has the same motor, but the sound characteristics are a bit unique. (no rasp etc). dilemma: -i think i like the RE El Diablo mufflers and at only $1,200. if the sound isn't ballsy enough i can aways add on the x-pipe for $600. -BUT i can get my hands on an arqray for $1,800 ~ territory and i think that's a fine exhaust as well. i haven't heard any of these in person and only have shoddy youtube videos to go off of. can anybody comment as to sound quality/comparison of the above mentioned? i like a clean crisp deep exhaust note and would like to steer clear from a honda CRX can type sound. advice/suggestions/input appreciated.

i second the arqray since barely anyone around here has it so you'd be pretty unique!

If you want ballys I don't think the arqray is for you. As far as I remember it's a very quiet stockish sounding exhaust.

if that's the case then i don't want to fork over that much for an exhaust. what little i have read about the arqray has been positive. stockish sound would be a deal breaker though

Have you called in or checked their price recently? As their website lists $2250.

i'll confirm.
price aside, anybody else have comments as to sound quality of arqray vs other systems? i've read on two occasions now that it's only slightly louder than stock but has a very clean sound. would an RE X-pipe mate with that?

i guess if the cans aren't loud enough i could add the RE x-pipe. talk about a pricey exhaust

i have RPIs and its REAL boomy at certain points but i will tell you this, when you want the race car sound its there with the push of a button...Literally.
that being said, if you are at all worried about drone consider something else. If what your after is aggressive, theirs nothing more so than the RPIs |
