Whats better than Royal purple for the tranny?

I remember reading a comparison, where they tested some oil to be better than Royal Purple for the tranny. I had RP in a car before, and it wore out in 5k miles. What is it? something that had "gear" in the name I think

Nothing with gear in it comes to mind, unless they were referring to it as gear oil. MTF-LT-2, Royal Purple, and Red Line seem to be the most popular.

Motul doesn't exactly suck either, just about as expensive as it comes, however.

MOTUL GEAR 300? great reviews. I think we need ~1.5 liters. Right?

I'm using BG Syncroshift 2, It works great and others have commented on how well my car shifts. In my opinion RP is a little thin.

I know people don't like the oem stuff but I just did a flush at 40k and car feels noticeably better. I don't think oem is bad, it's just lifetime fluids is bs so it gets a bad rep b/c it wears down eventually. Fresh fluid is probably all it needs.

I totally agree but for finicky parts such as this where oem specs seem more strict, I figured I'd just stick with oem. You should know of all the mod wh0res like me, I typically like to go aftermarket =)
