Rally Decorations...
Just got back from an excellent track weekend at Mid America Motorplex.
Roads at the track site were a mess though, due to continuous heavy truck traffic as they try to beef up the levies in advance of the flooding Missouri River. This resulted in what I'm going to call rally decorations on the car...the image of the car has only been manipulated lightly to show the amount of dirt. Funny thing though, there was a guy there with a Sahara Tan 330, and it was an exactly color match. |

That's so cool, makes it look like you went off roading. I'd totally do a photoshoot with all that dirt and enhance it as much as possible.

Can relate to the desire for a photoshoot. Only took a couple of pictures myself.
There's a show around here called "Vintage Torque Fest" that's for pre-1947 vehicles, mostly rat rods and other similarly modified vehicles where they take their show cars and run them around the dirt track at the county fair grounds after the water truck has created some mud. Never saw that done before-- you wouldn't believe how the mud flew from the rods without fenders. Pretty ballsy thing to do with that kind of car. Maybe I should ask for an honorary entry next year... |
