E86 seat removal

Been searching the DIY sections for a guide on how to remove the seats in my E86 coupe (seats are sport, heated + electric) but no luck.
Can someone please help me find a guide (if it exists).

In particular the seat belt guides, how do they come off?

To actually get the seats out, you'll have to rotate them before removing them, and be very careful

I couldn't get the bolt out that ties the actual belt to the base, but got the seats out far enough to restrap the bottoms with seatbelt webbing.

Just one thing, make sure you disco the battery before you start playing around there.

Found that guide too, but it's a roadster so the guides are totally different than the coupe.
That should be the only difference though. TIS isn't being very useful.

The seatbelt guides? Those are different on the M Sport seats which you can find in all flavors of Z4. Or are you talking about something else?

It's really straightforward, going off memory but

1) move the seat forward, undo the bolts on the rail in back
2) move seats for backwards, undo the bolts on the seat in the front
3) disconnect battery
4) remove the seat, unclip all the harnesses on the bottom (electric power, heat, airbag, etc).
5) undo the bolt that attaches the seatbelt on the bottom. on top, just undo the plastic seat belt clip, it just snaps in/out.

if you're referring to removng the seat belt totally, that i'm not sure since i decided to keep my factory 3 point.

Do you want the whole thing to come off, or for the belt to come out? Because if you want the former, all you need is a t20 torx bit to remove the three screws

If you're referring to the guide attached to the seat, I'm pretty sure you just unclip it with your hand, it just snaps on/off.

Ok cool. Just need the belt out of the loop. So no need to remove the screws that are holding it on the seat.

Can someone confirm how the seatbelt guide comes off? Dont want to break anything

Did this last night. The top the guide snaps away from the seat then you can remove the seatbelt.
