Door lock button missing

Today I noticed the strangest thing, the button to the passenger door lock is missing. The door functions fine (lock/unlock etc.), but where the button should be there's just a hole.

Any idea what happened? Could it be in the door or simply popped off? Wanted to get some ideas before taking the door card off to get a better look at it.

I have the same problem, my door lock pin is missing. Have you found a solution? Thanks

Just took off the door card and popped it back in. When you see it it will make perfect sense, the metal bar of the button clicks into a plastic part.

Make absolutely sure your key is not in your ignition when you take the door card off, as there is an airbag in the door. If in doubt look it up in the TIS. I went ahead and purchased a torque screwdriver set so I could tighten everything back up to spec.
